Imagine in today's time in the middle of a big city like New York, an 8 year old girl is hustling to make a living. Jessa is a book smart kid, but not a nerd. She is confident and cocky about her wits. The kid's parents are clumsy and forgetful. The child is embarrassed by her mom and dad and thinks she's smarter than them. Jessa's parents are having money troubles. Jessa is fed up with not having nice things like the girls at her so she some days she skips school to hit the streets.

Jessa's hustle is taking advantage of her age and cuteness. At 8 years old "Trying" is impressive, so Jessa puts on awful street shows and caricature booths, and still manages to make money. She pick pockets and gets away with it because who expects a little girl. She'll occasionally run into her parents and get caught in a con, but she's to smart to go down for good.

She never comes back him with much money at all. Like $8 and $12 there, and she realizes her parents must work really hard to have as much as they do. She accepts her family and leaves the hustle game alone.
